Windermere officials are canceling the food truck night scheduled for Aug. 27 due to a rise in COVID-19 cases.

The monthly event will be postponed until National Night Out on Sept. 24. Town officials wrote that they don't want to be responsible for a "super spreader" event.

"We know how much the community was looking forward to the event, and we are also disappointed by the news; however the health and safety of our residents, staff and visitors will always be our top priority," town officials wrote on Facebook.
