Windermere is one step closer to adopting a budget for Fiscal Year 2020-21.

Town leaders held their first tentative budget hearing on Wednesday, Sept. 9. The final budget hearing is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 21.

According to Orange County Property Appraiser Rick Singh, Windermere’s total taxable value this year is $760,626,554.

Windermere’s tentative millage rate is set at 3.7425 mills. This is the same rate that was approved for the last fiscal year. That rate would bring in $2,704,312.63 in property tax revenues.

With various other revenues, the town’s total revenues are projected to total $6,681,487 — the same number as the budgeted expenditures, according to the town’s budget summary.
