Date Night in the Center — 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, at the Oakland Town Center, 221 N. Arrington St. Grab a date or a group of friends — and a lawn chair — for a fun night at the center. Enjoy the classic film “Casablanca” and complimentary popcorn. Kelly’s Homemade Ice Cream truck will available, too, and there will be raffles for gift baskets.


Watermelon Day — 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 16, at the Clermont Farmer’s Market, downtown Montrose Street from Seventh to Eighth streets, Clermont. Free watermelon slices and recipes, provided by Willoughby’s Produce and Kim’s Cabbage Patch, will be given to visitors.


Strange Magic Movie & Craft — 5 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, at the West Oaks Library, 1821 E. Silver Star Road, Ocoee. Someone crossed the line, and now a battle is brewing. Food Trucks and Movie in the Park — 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21, at Bill Breeze Park, 125 N. Lakeshore Drive, Ocoee. Attendees can take a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy food-truck fare like tamales, cheese steaks, Krispy Kreme hamburgers, lobster rolls, barbecue pulled pork, crepes and Swedish burgers.
