ORLANDO -- Around 8:30 a.m. July 21, Ocoee man Brian Pinto, 59, was driving a Lynx bus northbound on Orange Avenue in the left turn lane.
Corey Rader, 28, of Citra, was riding his bicycle southbound on the Office Court crosswalk at the intersection with Orange Avenue.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol report, Pinto turned left and hit Rader with the front-left part of the bus, ultimately running him over.
Rader suffered serious injuries from the crash and was not wearing a helmet. He received transport to Orlando Regional Medical Center.
Pinto received a ticket for failing to yield to a pedestrian at a crosswalk.
