GALLERY: West Orange volleyball tops Apopka for district title

APOPKA  The West Orange Warriors put together a clean sweep of the rival Apopka Blue Darters on Oct. 21 in the championship game of the Class 8A, District 3 Tournament (25-20, 25-22, 25-21).

Makala Heidelberg had 20 kills, 2 blocks and 3 aces in the victory for the Warriors (24-3).

The victory means that West Orange will be hosting the runner-up in Class 8A's District 4 in the opening round of the FHSAA State Playoffs on Oct. 28.

The Warriors also swept Evans in the district semifinal on Oct. 19.
