Jemerh Cosby and Jamel Hyatt carried the Ocoee offense on its soaked home sod with long runs throughout Ocoee's 28-8 win over East Ridge. Linebacker Antonio Vargas blocked a punt and returned it for a touchdown to help the Knights start home district play on the right foot. Ocoee is now 2-2 overall and 1-1 in district play.

Eddie McDoom returned a kickoff for a touchdown and scored again after breaking free on a short pass to lead the Warriors back into the win column after a loss in Week Four at Trinity Christian. West Orange is 4-1.

The Olympia Titans offensive lagged early and the Titans fell behind the visiting Evans Trojans during the first half. In the final three minutes of the game, though, Olympia's Jeff James caught a long pass from quarterback Joe Milton, sealing a 14-10 Titan victory. Olympia (4-1) has now won four consecutive games.

Turnovers and an inability to sustain drives haunted the Panthers against the nationally-ranked Buccaneers in a 28-7 defeat. The contest was 14-7 entering the fourth quarter before Mainland pulled away on a long run for one touchdown and a fumble recovery for the other. Dr. Phillips fell to 2-3 on the season, losing three consecutive games for the first time since 2007.
