Foundation Academy athletic director David Baginski announced Monday morning that the Winter Garden-based private school had hired Stephanie Tibbetts as the new head coach for its volleyball program.

Tibbetts, who coached previously at South Lake High School, will replace Danny Eleutiza.

"It is with great joy and enthusiasm that I introduce to you the new head of the Foundation Academy Volleyball Program, Mrs. Stephanie Tibbetts," Baginski said in a statement. "Coach Tibbetts comes to us from South Lake High School, where she gained years of experience in coaching and athletic administration. We are extremely excited about having Coach Tibbetts and her family join our team, as she will not only be coaching, she will also play keys rolls in the classroom and athletic department."

Tibbetts was an all-state volleyball player in high school in Kansas and played at the college level for St. Leo University and Sterling College.

The Lions' new coach has seven years of experience, with the last four coming as head coach for South Lake's program. Tibbetts served as an athletic director for a time at South Lake and will be taking on the role of assistant athletic director at Foundation, in addition to teaching digital design in the classroom.

Tibbetts replaces Eleutiza, who parted ways amicably with the program after the 2015 season, with the goal of investing more time in his role with Orlando Volleyball Academy and his family. Eleutiza coached the Lions to two state runner-up finishes in his four years at the helm.
