Ocoee commissioners cancel second budget workshop

Ocoee City Commission held their first budget workshop for the fiscal year of 2016-2017 Monday evening at Ocoee City Hall.

The majority of the discussion revolved around a presentation regarding cost proposals of the Downtown Redevelopment Project, said Commissioner Rosemary Wilsen.

Commissioners decided to cancel the scheduled budget workshop for August 30 during tonight’s meeting, informed Wilsen, due to a consensus that it will not be needed, as enough was resolved during tonight’s meeting.

The first budget hearing will be held on September 6, and the final budget hearing will be held September 12 at 6 p.m. in City Hall.
