In February, commissioners approved a moratorium on the processing of development and building permit applications until Aug. 31 for the area of Plant Street between Dillard Street and State Road 429.

The moratorium allowed city officials and Real Estate Research Consultants Inc. to perform a

master planning study for the State Road 429 corridor, in light of the State Road 429 master plan, a joint plan adopted by the cities of Ocoee and Winter Garden.

The study on State Road 429 is underway but needs more time, city staff says. Tonight, staff asks commissioners to extend the moratorium another 180 days, until February 27, 2017.

Additionally, a 2016-17 fiscal year budget workshop takes place at the beginning of the meeting. City Manager Mike Bollhoefer will also give a presentation on golf carts and the Bradford Park boat dock.
