HORIZON WEST As the first major retailer in the new Hamlin community, Walmart hosted its grand-opening celebration Wednesday, Nov. 16. It was a chilly, early morning, but Horizon West and Winter Garden residents in attendance woke up early to be the first customers in the store. Festivities included some messages from store manager Aaron Brothers and Orange County District 1 Commissioner S. Scott Boyd; a performance from the Bridgewater Middle School band; an official ribbon cutting with Boyd, Brothers and ambassadors from the West Orange Chamber of Commerce; and vendors such as Bud Light, Coca-Cola, Rockstar and Oscar Mayer.
