CLERMONT The first cat cafe in the state, Orlando Cat Cafe, hosted a purr-fect grand-opening event Thursday, Sept. 8. Orlando Cat Cafe is the result of a partnership between Axum Coffee, Cagan Management Group, Inc., and South Lake Animal League. Guests can enjoy Axum’s many coffees and teas and book reservations to visit the animal league’s adoptable cats.
At the cafe and coffeehouse, there is a 900-square-foot play area for anywhere from 12 to 15 cats to roam, sleep and play freely in. Guests can also choose to watch the cats through a viewing window in the neighboring Axum Coffee shop.
