HORIZON WEST Nearly 3,000 people headed out to the Independence community on Saturday, June 30, to begin Fourth of July celebrations a bit early. The Independence Fireworks Spectacular offered lots of family fun, including bounce houses, food trucks, a visit from Orlando Regional Medical Center’s helicopter, games for the kids and vendors. For the grand finale, residents in attendance set up blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy a fireworks show at the end of the night.
