WINTER GARDEN The Garden Theatre was packed with hundreds of guests — eager both to support the theater and watch Broadway icon Chita Rivera perform — on Saturday, March 9, during its annual Encore gala event. “Encore: An Evening with Chita Rivera” served as a memorable evening filled with champagne, hors d’oeuvres and entertainment from Rivera herself. After the show, those with VIP tickets were invited upstairs to the ballroom for a reception, silent auction and meet-and-greet with Rivera. Proceeds go toward supporting the theater’s programs and shows.
