Kurt Gies, commander of American Legion Post 63, opened the service. This is the first service for the city of Winter Garden led by the American Legion after it was passed to the organization last year.

Gregory American Legion Post 63 lead the ceremony in which featured patriotic music courtesy of Geoff Brachium. Members of local organizations recognized locals who died during their service to the U.S. and presented wreaths in their honor. Col. Wayne Mendez of the U.S. Air Force spoke about his time the Air Force, paying tribute to those he served with.
