Horizon West Alliance to host safety workshop

Parents and members of the community interested in hearing more about safety and mental health resources are invited to attend an upcoming safety workshop in Horizon West.

Hosted by the Horizon West Alliance, the four-part safety workshop will take place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, at the Summerport Clubhouse, 14501 Bluebird Park Road, Windermere.

According to the alliance, Orange County staff will present stranger danger tips, as well as provide general safety updates and a sector redistricting update. Free mental health resources and information also will be available.

Additionally, trained professionals will be able to assist by providing tips for self care and self defense tips.
