A hold at Windermere High School due to a fire in one of the school's bathrooms has been lifted, school officials said.

According to a Facebook post on the Windermere High page from Assistant Principal Sheri Robb, the fire was small and happened in a bathroom on the first floor in building 400. All students and staff are safe.

The school temporarily was on a hold pattern as the fire was contained but has since returned to normal operations. The fire marshal and school administration are investigating the incident. Robb wrote that if the incident is found to be the result of student misconduct, "appropriate discipline will be handed out in accordance to the Code of Student Conduct."

"We take these matters very seriously, and be assured the safety of students and staff is always my top priority," Robb wrote. "Parents, please use this opportunity to speak to your student about making good choices."

Anyone with questions may contact the school at (407) 347-0980.
