Independence Community to show support for medical professionals with luminaries

As the coronavirus continues to spread, medical professionals continue to serve as the first line of defense.

Doctors, nurses and others have risked their own health in order to help those in need, and the Independence Community is looking to show that their efforts are appreciated.

On Wednesday, April 1, at 7 p.m., residents in the Independence Community area are asked to place luminaries — or a simple lit candle — outside their homes to show support for their neighbors who are leading the fight against the coronavirus.
