After weeks of discussion and postponements, Winter Garden commissioners are set to vote on whether to move forward with an ordinance that will ban certain types of trucks on Marsh Road.

Commissioners will meet Thursday, April 8, to go over an agenda full of items up for consideration, including Ordinance 21-11 — the proposed truck ban.

The ordinance originally was set to undergo a second reading at the March 25 City Commission meeting, but city officials agreed to postpone it in favor of allowing more time for negotiations with Titan America and other stakeholders.

Also up for consideration under second rating is Ordinance 21-03, which would rezone a .28-acre property at 38 N. Boyd St. and 42 N. Boyd St. from Central Commercial to Planned Commercial Development. This would allow for future development of a new, two-story building spanning 15,800 square. The first floor would host commercial/retail and some office space, with the remaining office space to be hosted on the second floor.

The City Commission meets at 6:30 p.m. in the Winter Garden City Hall Commission Chambers,  300 W. Plant St. There also is an option for remote electronic attendance. To view the agenda and the link for remote attendance, click here.
