Walt Disney World announced today it will be bringing back their annual passes, just in time for the 50th anniversary celebration.

The park will begin to offer a variety of annual pass options beginning Sept. 8.

Disney originally halted its annual pass program at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic in March 2020.

There will be four new pass options available, with the lowest starting at $399 plus tax.

"These passes will help our biggest fans experience all that’s to come during 'The World’s Most Magical Celebration' — from new attractions and nighttime spectaculars to dazzling decorations at all four theme parks and more," Disney officials wrote on its official parks blog.

The new annual passes include

Disney Pixie Dust Pass (Florida residents only)

  • $399 + Tax (Or $19 per month for 12 months for Floridians after a $205 down payment)
  • Allows guests to visit one or more parks on most weekdays with an advance reservation (Includes block-out dates, including peak and holiday periods)
  • Can have up to three park reservations at a time

All pass-holders will get free parking and save up to 20% on dining and merchandise. New perks will include access to bonus reservations and customization options for PhotoPass downloads or Water Park and Sports options.

Current pass-holders will see no changes to their passes.

"If you are a current pass-holder, please know you may continue to use your Annual Pass as you do today," Disney officials said. "When it is time for you to renew, you will be able to renew into one of our new passes (at a special renewal price). Plus, beginning Sept. 8, 2021, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Platinum Plus annual pass-holders will also be able to hold more reservations at a time."

Disney's 50th anniversary celebration will kick off Oct. 1, with new shows, merchandise, rides and more.
