Locals to take off in Hamlin Christmas race

The Christmas-themed 12K and 5K run will bring fun that the whole family can enjoy.

West Orange locals are set to take-off this weekend in the Hamlin Christmas race. 

The Christmas-themed 12K and 5K run, in collaboration with Florida Running Co., will bring fun that the whole family can enjoy.

The event will include hot cocoa, appearances by jolly old St. Nick and his elves, and multiple photo opportunities. 

All participants will receive a chip timed race, T-shirt and finishers medal. Runners in the 12K will receive a themed coffee mug and kids race participants will receive a T-shirt, ribbon and Christmas stocking.

The races will take place on Saturday, Dec. 18, at the Cinepolis in Hamlin.

The 12K and 5K runs will begin at 7:30 a.m. and the kids race will begin at 9:15 a.m.
