Suspected arrested in teen’s death

Orange County deputies have arrested another teen in connection to the murder.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest in the death of 15-year-old Jesus Ramirez, who was shot and killed early Monday, July 19, in Ocoee. Ricardo Perez, also 15, was arrested for second-degree murder, deputies said.

The Sheriff’s Office responded to a call at 4:40 a.m. Monday, July 19, in reference to a shooting. The call was to the 500 block of Second Street in Ocoee.

Deputies located the 15-year-old victim and rendered aid, but he was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the OCSO.

The investigation is ongoing, and the sheriff’s office will provide updates as more information becomes available.

Tony Roman, principal of Lakeview Middle School, sent a message to parents late Monday offering his condolences to the student’s family.
