Hope Church to host first Hero Day

The day will honor first responders, front-line workers and military personnel.

Hope Church in Windermere is hosting its first Hero Day. 

Hero Day is a special Sunday during which the church will honor first responders, front-line workers and military personnel. 

The event will kick-off with a Hero Celebration Service at 9 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 7, at Hope Church located at 100 Windermere Road. 

The outdoor community portion of the event will begin at 9:45 a.m. and include outdoor festivities such as exploring emergency vehicles, a photo booth, light refreshments and more. 

The Ocoee Police Department will be one of the many organizations honoring its hero's at the event. 

Each hero in attendance will be presented with a special gift.
