The Town of Windermere is continuing to honor the "Week of the Family" with a special event this weekend.

On Tuesday, Nov. 9, Windermere Mayor Jim O'Brien proclaimed Nov. 6, through Nov. 13, as the “Week of the Family” at the November Town Council meeting.

This year marks the 19th annual Week of the Family for Orange County.

Orange County, Orange County Mayor Jerry L. Demings and the Town of Windermere will come together for a free screening of “Coco" playing at Cypress Grove Park.

Residents are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and snacks, although food trucks will also be available.

The movie will begin at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 13, but vendor education tables, food, family fun and trivia will begin at 4:30 p.m.
