The Florida Department of Health released a list of businesses under investigation for requiring the COVID-19 vaccination on Monday.

"Under the rule, the Florida Department of Health now has the authority to enforce penalties on applicable entities and institutions that require documentation of vaccination or post-exposure status," the release states. "This law prohibits the following entities from requiring documentation of COVID-19 vaccination or post-infection recovery."

Included on the list are the Amway Center, Dr. Phillips Center, AdventHealth, Orange County, Disney Cruise Line, Orange County Convention Center, and Starbucks.

Also present on the list is Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings who is named personally on the list of 'violators' for forcing union firefighters and other employees to be vaccinated or receive a written reprimand, which we told you about here

He says the county intends to take this to court.

"The state was clearly out of line with commonly accepted practices for crisis management. And any time that someone diminishes our ability to protect our citizens, I am going to stand up against that," Demings said.

Demings contradicted Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for his threat to fine those that require vaccination. As a result, $5,000 fines per violation were proposed.

"'Commonly accepted practices for crisis management' do not include forced-masking and coercing people into getting medical procedures under threat of termination," the governor's office said. "These policies do not protect citizens; they violate citizens’ rights."

As of today, neither the city nor the county has received anything in writing from the FDOH.
