JCCF fun walk/run is Saturday

Participants are invited to walk around the Jessie Brock pond to raise funds for the Jimmy Crabtree Cancer Fund.

The Jimmy Crabtree Cancer Fund is hosting its JCCF Invitational Fun Walk/Run 2021 Saturday, Oct. 30. The walk takes place from 7:30 to 10 a.m. around the pond behind the Jessie Brock Recreation Center, 310 N. Dillard St., Winter Garden.

The event is open to the community, and pre-registration is not required. Seven laps around the pond are equivalent to a 5K.

There are no prizes this year, and masks or social distancing is being encouraged.

To make a donation to JCCF, which distributes funds to local residents fighting cancer, go to jcccancerfund.org/donate. Checks, cash and donations to local establishments can be donated the day of the event.
