Largest Heart plans 3rd Annual Fun 5K Run

The nonprofit is giving 100% of the proceeds of the Winter Garden event to a Central Florida school.

Be A Largest Heart is hosting its 3rd Annual Fun 5K Run Saturday, Sept. 18, starting at Chapin Station in Winter Garden. All donations raised by this year's event will be given to Freedom Springs High School, the first recovery school to open by Florida Recovery Schools of Central Florida.

The Walk, Jog, Run starts at 8 a.m. at Chapin Station, 501 Crown Point Cross Road; or it can be tackled virtually. The cost is $25, and all donations are tax-deductible. Participants will receive a limited-edition Be A Largest Heart event T-shirt.

The purpose of the fun run is to raise awareness about addiction and suicide.
