Families and friends gathered in Windermere’s Town Square Park on Sept. 24 to celebrate the return of Food Truck Night and the annual National Night Out.
Food Truck Night, previously scheduled for Aug. 27, had been canceled due to the rise in COVID-19 cases. A total of 16 trucks came out in force to serve everything from hot dogs to lobster rolls as guests lounged on lawn chairs and picnic blankets.
The block party-style event also celebrated National Night Out; the annual community-building campaign honoring local law enforcement and first responders. Information tables lined the sidewalk and service vehicles were on display throughout the park as representatives from Windermere Police Department, and City of Ocoee Police Department and Fire Department, were on hand.
