Montverde Academy to put on first theatre production of the school year

Montverde Academy will be putting on its first theatre production of the school year beginning Thursday, Sept. 30. 

The students will take the stage for their performance of The Secret Garden based on the novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett.

The story is set in England and follows 10-year-old Mary Lennox who is sent to live with her uncle on his estate when her parents die. At the estate, she discovers much intrigue, family history, secrets and personal baggage in her discovery of a secret garden. 

The play will run from Sept. 30 through Oct. 3. and is sponsored by Westgate Resorts.
