Revitalization network meeting planned for east Winter Garden

Residents can attend and help create a network of resources that can collaborate in the area's revitalization efforts.

Grassroots leaders, nonprofits, business leaders, educational providers and government agencies are gathering to create a revitalization network for east Winter Garden. The community is invited to participate in helping shape this vital neighborhood through collaboration at an event sponsored by the city of Winter Garden and Polis Institute.

The event is from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, at Healthy West Orange, 1200 E. Plant St., Winter Garden. For information or to RSVP, call (407) 319-7205 or email [email protected].

Community Editor Amy Quesinberry was born at the old West Orange Memorial Hospital and raised in Winter Garden. Aside from earning her journalism degree from the University of Georgia, she hasn’t strayed too far from her hometown and her three-mile bubble.
