The three-point shot refused to fall for Dr. Phillips most of the night, but it came through in the end.

Asiana Govan picked a spot on the right side of the court, behind the three-point line, and took the biggest shot of her life. The shot went in, giving Dr. Phillips the lead with 15 seconds to go.

After trailing the whole game and surrendering the lead just a few moments ago, the Panthers came all the way back to take the lead. A lead that they would hold onto the last 15 seconds.

Dr. Phillips defeated Miami 47-45 to win its first state championship since 2013 and the fifth in school history.

After a first half where the team struggled to score and get some rhythm offensively, things turned around in the second half with Trinity Turner leading the way.

Turner scored 19 points, including a big shot to give the Panthers their first lead of the night in the fourth quarter. She and Kalea' Rainey were the sparks that lit the fuse on DP's comeback.
