Foundation Academy is breaking ground on a new chapter in the school's story.

The school will host a groundbreaking celebration for the new cafeteria and worship center a 5:45 Thursday, April 27, at the Tilden Campus, 15304 Tilden Road, Winter Garden.

The planned dual-purpose cafeteria and worship center on the Tilden campus will serve current and future students from the Plant and Lakeside locations, while also supporting the church and its growing multicultural community.

The new cafeteria and worship center will be 17,675 square feet and can seat 400 students at lunchtime or 600 people in an audience arrangement. It also will be used in a chapel setting. It will have a full-size kitchen with the capability of serving more than 1,000 students.

The school announced the securing of the $2 million needed to break ground on the campus on social media March 30.

The special ceremony will be followed by complimentary food and fellowship before the spring musical.

In addition, there will be a special presidential announcement.
