Obituary: Dr. James Steve Browder

Dr. James Steve Browder passed away peacefully at his home on Dec. 2, 2023, surrounded by his loving wife, Mary Elizabeth, of 62 years and his extended family.

Steve was born in Goodwater, Alabama, on Aug. 5, 1939. He was raised in Winter

Garden, Florida, and settled in Jacksonville, Florida, where he had five children and 10 grandchildren.

Dr. Browder was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and distinguished physics professor for 47 years at Jacksonville University.
