The Ocoee location of Ellie Lou's Brews & BBQ will close its doors Monday, Dec. 18.

The location took to social media to share the news Thursday, Dec. 7.

"It is with deep regret and a heavy heart that we share the news of the closure of our Ocoee location..." Ellie Lou wrote on Facebook. "This decision has not been an easy one, but unfortunately, we were unable to reach an agreement with our landlord, as the current market rates have proven to be out of our reach.

"Over the past 10 years, our journey with Ellie Lou's has been nothing short of amazing, and we owe it all to the incredible support of our extended family – that's you," the post said. "Your unwavering support, especially during the challenging times brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, has touched us deeply. We are grateful for the community that has embraced us, and we take pride in being a part of it."

According to the post, the Ocoee employees will have the opportunity to transfer to other locations.

Currently, Ellie Lou's has a location in Clermont, as well as its newest location in Horizon West.

The business is known for its mouthwatering menu, including items such as pulled pork and chicken, brisket, ribs, sandwiches, corn muffins, mac and cheese, and coleslaw. The restaurant also offers expansive catering services.

"This closure does not mark the end of Ellie Lou's," the post said. "We remain committed to the Ellie Lou's brand and will actively seek new opportunities to serve our community once again. Your loyalty has been the backbone of our success, and we look forward to the day when we can welcome you back with open arms.

"As we bid farewell to this chapter, we want to express our gratitude for the support, friendship and memories you've shared with us over the years," the post said. "Ellie Lou's has been more than a business; it has been a family, and you are an integral part of that family."
