Sinkhole shuts down lane on Avalon Road

Horizon West commuters using Avalon Road will need patience this morning.

A sinkhole opened Sunday, Dec. 17, on southbound Avalon Road near Seidel Road, and construction crews currently are repairing the road.

As of 8 a.m., one southbound lane is open, and crews have filled in the hole.

The road closure stretched from Seidel Road to the entrance to the Waterleigh community.
