The Dr. Phillips Little League Intermediate 50/70 team recently became Section 5 champion after defeating Haines City 2-1 in a three-game series.

The DPLL Intermediate 50/70 team will now in the sectional championship at the State Tournament from Friday, June 30, to Wednesday, July 5, in Martin County.
