The Winter Garden Farmers Market is celebrating a milestone as it turns 15 years old.

The city is marking this occasion with a community celebration from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 3, at the Downtown Pavilion, 104 S. Lakeview Ave. Free activities include a children’s craft station, lawn games, face painting and live music. The city will gift commemorative 120th anniversary tote bags to the first 120 guests who visit the information booth at the pavilion entrance.

The market is open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays and offers a variety of vendors selling locally sourced produce, artwork, jewelry, gourmet provisions, baked goods, home décor, apparel and accessories, seasonal items, pet supplies and delicacies.

It premiered with about 20 vendors in 2008 and now has 110. The market has become a weekly community hub, garnering more than 4,000 people in attendance weekly. It has been voted Best Farmers Market in the state and in the United States by American Farmland Trust.
