Four West Orange and Southwest Orange County teams remain in the FHSAA state softball playoffs

Windermere, Horizon, The First Academy and Foundation Academy softball teams all advance to the regional semifinals Tuesday, May 14.

Four West Orange and Southwest Orange County teams remain in the FHSAA state softball playoffs. 

In Class 2A, Foundation Academy and The First Academy will play in the regional semifinals Tuesday, May 14. Foundation, the No. 1 seed in Region 2, beat Orangewood Christian, 11-9, in the regional quarterfinals, while TFA, the No. 4 seed topped Mount Dora Christian, 9-4. Foundation will host Academy at the Lakes in the region semifinals and the Royals will travel to Cornerstone Charter Academy.

Horizon High, the No. 1 seed in 5A’s Region 2 bracket, will host River Ridge High in the regional semis after topping Wesley Chapel High, 5-3, in the quarters. In 7A, the No. 1 seed Windermere High Wolverines beat Lakewood Ranch High, 5-0, and will host Palm Harbor University High for a berth in the Region 2 championship game Friday, May 17.
