Ocoee’s Human Relations Diversity Board hosting presentation

The topic will be “Enhancing Accessibility to Build Community.”

The city of Ocoee’s Human Relations Diversity Board will host a presentation titled “Enhancing Accessibility to Build Community” from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. Thursday, May 1, at City Hall, 1 N. Bluford Ave. The free event is open to the public.

Guest speaker Kavita Sawh, who is with the UCF Ginsburg Center for Inclusion and Community Engagement, will explore everyday disability-related scenarios participants might encounter in professional and social settings. The hourlong workshop will include real-world examples of accessibility challenges, discussion-based learning and problem solving.

The speaker also will cover inclusive strategies tailored to different disability experiences and practical applications for community leaders, educators and event organizers.
