With the 112th overall pick in the fourth round of the 2025 NFL Draft, the New Orleans Saints selected former Foundation Academy football standout Danny Stutsman.

The 6-foot-3, 233-pound linebacker was a star for the Lions on both sides of the ball, posting more than 300 tackles through his high school career and being named an All-State receiver.

As a senior for former Foundation coach Brad Lord, Stutsman led the Lions to a regional championship and a berth to the State Final Four — filling up the stat sheet with 78 tackles, five sacks, two interceptions, 1,353 total yards and 19 total touchdowns in eight games.

Following his high school career, he made a name for himself at the college level as a three-year starter at Oklahoma. During his time as a Sooner, Stutsman recorded 376 career tackles (the ninth most in school history), forced four fumbles, caught three interceptions and was an All-American and All-SEC First Team selection.

Stutsman joins a Saints team that went 5-12 last season and a linebacker group that is led by veterans Demario Davis and Pete Werner, who combined for 228 total tackles in 2024.
