Ocoee star football player Michael McClenton Jr. transferring to Edgewater High

After three seasons leading the Knights defense, the Appalachian State commit will finish his high school football career with the Eagles.

Michael McClenton Jr., the 2024 Orange Observer football defensive player of the year and 2023 football player of the year, confirmed to The Observer that he will transfer from Ocoee High and finish his high school football at Edgewater High.

A three-star linebacker and Appalachian State commit, McClenton Jr. led the Knights defense for the past three seasons with a total of 517 tackles, 99 TFLs and 55 sacks.
