West Orange County schools recognized as Schools of Excellence

West Orange County had 18 elementary schools, five middle schools and one high school were deemed Schools of Excellence.

West Orange County had 17 elementary schools, five middle schools and one high school were deemed Schools of Excellence.

The schools received the recognition from the Florida Department of Education for the 2024-2025 school year. 

Bay Lake, Bay Meadows, Dr. Phillips, Hamlin, Independence, Keene's Crossing, Lake Whitney, Palm Lake, Panther Lake, Summerlake, Sunset Park, Thornebrooke, Tildenville, Water Spring, Westbrooke, Whispering Oak and Windermere elementary schools were recognized as Schools of Excellence. Oakland Avenue Charter School also was recognized. 

Bridgewater, Hamlin, Horizon West, SunRidge and Water Spring middle schools were given the designation. 

Windermere High School also was honored as a School of Excellence.
