Windermere High students to perform at FSU

Two band students from Windermere High School were selected to participate in the 44th annual Tri-State Band Festival at Florida State University.

Two Windermere High Wolverines are going to Tallahassee to perform at FSU’s Annual Tri-State Festival hosted by its College of Music. 

Tristan Smith auditioned and was accepted to the FSU Honors Jazz Ensemble as lead trumpet chair for the festival.

Band captain Sydney Mackey was also selected by the College of Music to perform in the festival. 

The event will take place from Dec. 4 to Dec. 7 and will host approximately 300 high school students for an immersive and meaningful musical experience. 

Whoop, whoop, Wolverines.
