Man arrested after impersonating Ocoee firefighter

A man was arrested the morning of Wednesday, April 22, after pretending to be a firefighter.

A man was arrested Wednesday morning after impersonating a firefighter at an active fire scene. 

The Ocoee Fire Department responded to a call at 922 N. Lakewood Ave., Ocoee, to put a fire out. 

While actively working the scene, personnels noticed a man dressed as a firefighter, but did not recognize him. 

After confronting him, he was removed from the scene. 

Police officers later questioned the man and arrested him for pretending to be a firefighter, a third-degree felony. 

The man's identity was not revealed. Police believe the man had no connection to the fire.
