Security and emergency preparedness luncheon to take place at Ocoee Lakeshore Center for church leaders

The event will take place from noon to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, at 125 N. Lakeshore Drive, Ocoee.

A luncheon for pastoral leaders from across Central Florida soon will take place at the Ocoee Lakeshore Center, to equip pastors and their churches with safety, security and emergency response practices. 

According to a press release from Vision Orlando, the event's host, the "Shepherds and Shields: Protecting the Church with Wisdom and Faith" event will take place from noon to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 29. 

"From targeted threats to everyday emergencies, the need for wise, proactive leadership has never been greater," the press release said. "...This luncheon will bring together four experienced leaders in law enforcement, security training and threat assessment to equip you and your church with essential insights and practical next steps." 

Windermere Police Chief Dave Ogden will speak to attendees about understanding today's threat landscape.
