The Winter Garden Heritage Foundation and Opera Orlando are partnering for a weekend of music and patriotic celebration this weekend.

“Patriotism on Plant: A Musical Journey Celebrating America's 250th” takes place at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 25, and 2 p.m. Sunday, July 26, at the Garden Theatre on Plant, 160 W. Plant St., Winter Garden.

This world-class performance, led by the exceptional talent of Opera Orlando, will showcase a quartet of artists performing a tribute of music through the decades. Spanning all genres and ages, the production includes a deeply moving salute to our nation’s veterans and stunning visual tributes.

This special performance traces the American story through song and cinematic imagery and weaves together patriotic music with historical film spanning the decades. The performance will include music from the earliest days of our republic through the moments that defined each generation.

The performance also will include a moment to honor the veterans and active military members whose service and sacrifice have shaped our nation. Their stories are America's story, and this evening is dedicated to them.
