AdventHealth Ocoee now open

The AdventHealth Ocoee Emergency Room now is up and running. 

“We are staffed with board certified emergency positions (and) highly qualified emergency nurses,” said Dr. Arun Malhotra, medical director for AdventHealth Winter Garden, Millenia and Ocoee. “We have respiratory therapists, we have pharmacists, a full service laboratory. We have diagnostic imaging, such as CTs, X rays and ultrasound all under one roof.”

Offering services 24 hours per day, seven days per week, its expert team of emergency physicians and other highly trained providers treat a wide range of emergencies in kids and adults, including broken bones, burns, allergic reactions, poisoning, heart attack symptoms, and more. 

The ER conveniently was built on West Colonial Drive to ensure patients from Ocoee, Apopka and Winter Garden are getting the appropriate and fast care when every minute counts. 

“Instead of 20, 30 minutes, (patients are) literally five or 10 minutes away from the help that they need, whatever that may be,” District 6 Commissioner Michael Scott said.
