Ocoee woman dies in ATV accident

A 42-year-old woman from Ocoee died Saturday, May 30, in Alachua County.

An Ocoee woman died after she lost control of her all-terrain vehicle Saturday, May 30. 

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the woman was riding an ATV on Northeast 145th Lane, Waldo, in Alachua County, when she lost control of it, prompting it to roll over. 

She sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. 

FHP said the woman was not wearing a helmet during the crash. 

An investigation is ongoing.
