Windermere High boys basketball team found its newest head coach in house.

Former assistant coach Jordan Gregory, who worked in that role for one year, is entering a new role as the head coach of the Wolverines. His promotion comes after longtime head coach Mark Griseck, who worked at Windermere since 2017, stepped down.

Gregory's coaching background includes a one-year stint at Central Florida Christian Academy from 2024-25 as an associate head coach and eight years as an assistant coach for Florida State University High School. In 2022, his FSUS team won the Class 3A Boys Basketball State Championship.

"Our identity will be built on being the hardest playing team on the floor every single night and the most connected team on the floor, competing for each other with toughness, passion and pride," Gregory wrote. "We will honor the tradition that's been built here while continuing to raise the standard together."
