Registration extended for Ocoee PD's Senior Scam Prevention event

Interested community members have until Sunday, May 10, to register.

The Ocoee Police Department will be hosting a Senior Scam Prevention event from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, at the Ocoee Lakeshore Center. 

The free event invites the senior community of Ocoee to hear from experts from the Orange County Consumer Protection, McCoy Federal Credit Union, IRS and more. 

The deadline to register has been extended to Sunday, May 10. 

The goal of this event is to teach seniors how to recognize and avoid scams. 

There also will be raffle prizes and free lunch.
