Orange County opens new Mosquito Control Facility near Ocoee

The facility now is located at 6330 Silver Star Road, Orlando, replacing the former facility on Conroy Road.

Orange County held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Monday, May 11, to celebrate the opening a new Mosquito Control Facility. 

Previously located on Conroy Road, the facility now is located at 6330 Silver Star Road, Orlando. 

The new facility features updated infrastructure, including a larger laboratory and an insectary that will allow to staff to breed and raise mosquitoes for research and testing, 

The larger laboratory will enhance the ability to monitor mosquito-borne diseases.
